Photography & Video Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2025
At Proscenium Stage School, we recognise that photographs and videos are an important part of celebrating achievement and promoting our activities. However, we are committed to protecting the privacy and safety of our students — especially children and young people under 18.
1. Purpose of Photography
We may take photographs or videos for the following purposes:
- Documenting student progress and performances
- Sharing moments with parents and carers
- Promotional materials (e.g., website, social media, printed brochures)
2. Consent
- We always seek written consent from a parent or legal guardian before using any images of children.
- Consent is requested during enrolment and can be changed or withdrawn at any time by emailing us.
- If consent is not given, we ensure that the student is not included in promotional photography or video content.
3. Use of Images
Images may be used on:
- Our official website and social media platforms
- Marketing materials such as posters, flyers, and brochures
- Internal communications or presentations
We do not use student names alongside photos without additional written permission.
4. Photography by Parents
Photography or filming by parents is not permitted during classes unless explicitly allowed by staff (e.g., for end-of-term showcases). We ask that any photos taken during public events (e.g., performances) are for personal use only and not shared online without consent.
5. Storage and Security
All photos and videos taken by the school are stored securely and only accessible by authorised staff. Media is not kept for longer than necessary.
6. Opting Out
If you wish to opt your child out of photography or video at any time, please email us at prosceniumss@gmail.com.
